How collections work

Collections are like folders for your library. Per Amazon's Kindle Paperwhite User Guide, they're stored in the cloud and sync to other devices and reading apps on the same Amazon account that support them.

You can put as many items as you want in a collection, and one book can sit in more than one collection. Deleting a collection doesn't delete the books in it.

Create one on a Kindle

Go to your Library and open the menu (three dots).
Choose Create a Collection and name it.
Tick the books you want and save.
To add more later, open the collection, open the menu, and choose Add/Remove Items.

Menus move around between software versions, so the wording on your Kindle may differ a little.

On the Kindle app for PC

Right-click a book, choose Add/Remove from Collections, and pick the collection (Amazon Help).
