Seen it 3 times? It's gone
Quick answer
You know the one. Same video, same thumbnail, every time you open the app, for like two weeks. You didn't click it the first nine times and it's still there.
What 125x is: 125x is a web app at 125x.app. You connect your YouTube subscriptions, and it gives you a feed of the latest videos from the channels you follow, each with a summary: a verdict, the 5 key takeaways, and the spoiler, plus Actionable and Lessons tabs with more tips. You read that and decide what's actually worth opening.
That happens because showing you a video that already works is safe for the algorithm. There's no real way to say stop. 125x was built partly because of exactly this, and it runs 4 rules at the same time so it doesn't happen.
Open 125xRule 1: a 24 hour rotation
Once a video shows up in your feed, it moves down for the next 24 hours.
Rule 2: not opening it counts
If a video shows up on 2 separate visits and you don't open it, it's hidden for your next 10 visits. You never have to tap "not interested".
Not opening it is the signal. If you do want to say it, there's a Not Interested button that hides a video for 30 days.
Rule 3: a hard cap of 3
A video that's been shown 3 times without being opened or saved is out of the feed. It can only come back after 45 quiet days. And when part of the feed runs low, 125x is not allowed to bring capped videos back to fill the space.
Rule 4: opened means done
The moment you open a video, it leaves the feed for good and goes to your Viewed tab. Viewed and Saved sync to your account on your phone and computer.
No one channel takes over
Each page shows at most 2 videos from one channel. Channels that weren't shown in the last 24 hours go first next time, so the guy who uploads 4 times a day doesn't own your whole screen.
You can check it yourself
Open the Passed tab and you'll see every video the feed has shown you, how many times, and whether it's in rotation, suppressed, out of rotation, or opened.
Questions
Do I have to mark videos as not interested?
No. If you don't open a video, 125x takes that as the answer.
Will a video I skipped ever come back?
After 3 showings it's out, and it can only come back after 45 quiet days.
Does this change my YouTube account?
No. 125x has read-only access and can't change anything on your account.
